زيادة التعاميم… بشرى أخرى للمودعين قريبًا!
في خطوة جديدة نحو حل أزمة المودعين المستمرة، التقى حاكم مصرف لبنان بالإنابة، سمي منصوري، وفدًا من جمعية “صرخة المودعين” في اجتماعٍ مُثمر. وتأتي هذه الزيارة بعد أن تم إصدار قرار جديد برفع نسبة التعاميم لصالح المودعين في خطوة تهدف إلى تحسين وضعهم المالي.
وفقًا لرئيس الجمعية، علاء خورشيد، فقد كان الاجتماع “مريحًا إلى حد ما”، لكنه أشار إلى أن التفاصيل لا تزال غامضة بعض الشيء، ولم تُحدد ملامح الحل النهائي بعد. وأكد خورشيد في حديثه لـ “ليبانون ديبايت” أن قرار رفع نسبة التعاميم جاء ليمنح المودعين مزيدًا من الدعم المالي، حيث تم رفع المبالغ المستحقة للمودعين إلى 500 دولار بموجب التعميم 166، بدلًا من 400 أو 300 دولار، وزيادة المبلغ إلى 250 دولارًا بموجب التعميم 158 بدلاً من 150 دولارًا.
وأوضح خورشيد أنه من المتوقع أن يتم رفع المبالغ المقررة في التعاميم بشكل مستمر خلال الفترة المقبلة، بهدف تلبية احتياجات المودعين وتخفيف وطأة الأزمة الاقتصادية عليهم. ولفت إلى أن الزيادة في التعاميم لن تكون الأخيرة، حيث سيصار إلى زيادة المبالغ في المستقبل القريب وصولًا إلى مبلغ يمكن المودعين من تلبية احتياجاتهم الأساسية.
كما تم التطرق إلى موضوع الحل الشامل للأزمة، حيث أكد خورشيد أن الحاكم طرح أفكارًا ناقشها معهم، إلا أنه تحفظ عن الكشف عن تفاصيل الحل. وبيّن أن المرحلة المقبلة تتطلب التنسيق مع الحكومة ووزير المالية من أجل وضع خطة واضحة تعيد للمودعين حقوقهم في أقرب وقت ممكن، بعيدًا عن التأخير المفرط.
وأشار خورشيد إلى أن الاجتماع كان خطوة إيجابية، مؤكداً أهمية الوصول إلى حلول عادلة تضمن استعادة المودعين لحقوقهم بطريقة شفافة ومدروسة، بعيدة عن الوعود الغامضة.
Increased Circulars… Another Good News for Depositors Coming Soon!
In a new step toward resolving the ongoing depositors' crisis, the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Samir Mansouri, met today with a delegation from the “Cry of the Depositors” Association. This meeting aimed at discussing ideas that could lead to a potential resolution for the prolonged issue facing Lebanese depositors.
According to the Association's president, Alaa Khourchid, the meeting was “relatively comfortable,” though he noted that things are still somewhat unclear, and the path forward remains uncertain. Khourchid stated in an interview with “Lebanon Debate” that a new decision had been issued today to raise the circulars’ limits, allowing depositors to receive $500 under Circular 166, instead of the previous $400 or $300, and $250 instead of $150 under Circular 158.
Khourchid revealed that this increase would not be the last one, as additional increases would occur periodically to reach a sufficient amount that would allow depositors to meet their essential needs. He emphasized that further increases would be made in due course to ensure that depositors are adequately supported during these challenging times.
The discussion also touched on the broader issue of a comprehensive solution. However, Khourchid refrained from providing specific details but indicated that the Governor had presented ideas that would be reviewed after the government gains the necessary confidence. Following that, a meeting would take place with the Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister to review the plan aimed at restoring depositors' rights. The key goal is for people to regain their rights in a timely and structured manner, without prolonged delays.
