أعلنت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين عن نزوح أكثر من 21 ألف شخص من سوريا إلى لبنان هذا الشهر، هربًا من الأعمال العدائية المستمرة في المناطق السورية المتأثرة بالصراع. وذكرت المفوضية في بيانها أن استمرار الأعمال العدائية في أوائل شهر آذار 2025 أدى إلى نزوح متسارع لأعداد كبيرة من السكان باتجاه لبنان، حيث سجلت الأرقام التي قدمتها السلطات اللبنانية والصليب الأحمر وصول 21,637 شخصًا من سوريا إلى لبنان.
وتعتبر منطقة عكار في شمال لبنان واحدة من أبرز المناطق التي استقبلت هذا التدفق البشري. وقد تحوّلت المنطقة إلى ملاذ للنازحين السوريين الذين فرّوا من مناطق ساحلية في سوريا بعد مواجهات أمنية دارت بين القوات الحكومية السورية وما يُعرف بـ “فلول” النظام السابق. لجأ هؤلاء الفارون إلى منازل أقاربهم في القرى اللبنانية في شمال لبنان، حيث دخلوا عبر معابر غير شرعية بسبب إغلاق المعابر الرسمية.
أوضحت المفوضية أن هذه الزيادة في أعداد اللاجئين تعكس استمرار الأوضاع الأمنية المتدهورة في سوريا، مما يعرّض المزيد من المدنيين للخطر ويضطرهم للفرار بحثًا عن الأمان في البلدان المجاورة، خاصة لبنان الذي يعد من أكثر الدول تأثرًا بهذه الأزمة الإنسانية.

Seeking Safety: Over 21,000 People Flee Syria to Lebanon in March 2025
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has reported that more than 21,000 people fled the ongoing hostilities in Syria this month in search of safety in neighboring Lebanon. According to a statement from the UNHCR, the continued hostilities in early March 2025 led to a daily and continuous displacement of civilians from the affected areas to northern Lebanon, with 21,637 new arrivals from Syria, based on figures provided by Lebanese authorities and the Red Cross.
One of the primary destinations for these displaced individuals has been the Akkar region in northern Lebanon, which has become a refuge for people escaping the coastal areas of Syria. These individuals fled after security confrontations between Syrian government forces and what is known as the “remnants” of the previous regime. The displaced individuals sought shelter in the homes of their relatives in northern Lebanese villages, entering through unofficial crossings due to the closure of official border points.
The UNHCR highlighted that this surge in refugees reflects the continued deteriorating security situation in Syria, exposing more civilians to danger and forcing them to flee in search of safety to neighboring countries, particularly Lebanon, which remains one of the most affected by this humanitarian crisis.
