وأكد البيان أن وزارة الصحة العامة ترفض هذا النوع من الاستهداف لأحد الصروح الطبية الحيوية التي تقدم الرعاية الصحية والخدمات الطبية للمواطنين. كما طالبت الوزارة القوى الأمنية باتخاذ أقصى الإجراءات ضد المعتدين ومحاسبتهم بشكل فوري، مشددة على أهمية حماية المرافق الصحية والعاملين فيها الذين يشكلون خط الدفاع الأول عن صحة المواطنين والمجتمع.

وفي نفس السياق، قام وزير الصحة العامة، ركان ناصر الدين، بالتواصل مع نقيب الصيادلة، جو سلوم، للتنديد بالاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها ثلاث صيدليات في مناطق مختلفة. وذكر الوزير ناصر الدين أنه يجب ملاحقة المعتدين وفرض عقوبات صارمة بحقهم لمنع تكرار مثل هذه الحوادث، مشيرًا إلى أن أمن المرافق الصحية أولوية قصوى، حيث أن هذه المرافق، سواء كانت صيدليات أو مستشفيات أو مراكز صحية، تعمل على مدار الساعة وفي جميع الظروف لتقديم الخدمات الطارئة والضرورية للمواطنين.

من جانبه، دعا نقيب صيادلة لبنان، الدكتور جو سلّوم، القوى الأمنية ومخابرات الجيش إلى اتخاذ إجراءات حازمة لحماية الصيدليات والصيادلة. وذلك بعد سلسلة من عمليات السطو المسلح التي طالت ثلاث صيدليات في مناطق سن الفيل، جسر الواطي، والجميزة، وأسفرت عن إصابة أحد الصيادلة بطلقات نارية. وأكد سلّوم أن هذه الاعتداءات تشكل تهديدًا حقيقيًا لحياة الصيادلة وتعرض حياتهم للخطر، كما تهدد استمراريتهم في أداء واجبهم تجاه المرضى في ظل الانفلات الأمني وغياب الأمن.

كما دانت نقابة أصحاب المستشفيات الخاصة الاعتداء الذي تعرض له مستشفى رياق في البقاع يوم الجمعة الماضي، واصفة الحادثة بأنها “اعتداء همجي ووحشي” يشكل خرقًا صارخًا للقيم الإنسانية والمواثيق الدولية التي تضمن حماية المؤسسات الصحية في جميع أنحاء العالم. وأكدت النقابة في بيانها أن مهنة الطب والخدمة الصحية هي رسائل إنسانية سامية، وأن المستشفيات تمثل صروحًا طبية وآمنة للمواطنين والمرضى والموظفين.

وأعربت النقابة عن استنكارها لتصرفات المعتدين ضد الكوادر الطبية والتمريضية والإدارية في مستشفى رياق، وطالبت الجهات الأمنية والقضائية بملاحقة المعتدين المعروفين بالأسماء، وتوقيفهم وإحالتهم إلى القضاء المختص ليتم محاكمتهم بأشد العقوبات. كما أكدت النقابة ضرورة الإسراع في إقرار مشاريع القوانين التي تعزز حصانة الأطباء وتوفر الحماية للمؤسسات الصحية من أي تعديات مستقبلية.

وفي ختام البيان، شددت النقابة على ضرورة إبعاد المرافق الطبية عن أي تصرفات لاأخلاقية أو غير مسؤولة، مؤكدة أنها تواصل تقديم خدماتها رغم الظروف الصعبة التي تمر بها البلاد.

Attacks on Hospitals and Pharmacies: Ministry of Health Responds and Calls for Strict Measures

In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Public Health on Saturday evening, the ministry strongly condemned the attack on Riyaq Hospital which occurred the previous night. The hospital was subjected to unprovoked gunfire by a group of individuals, putting both the hospital staff and patients at risk, including a patient who was receiving emergency treatment. This situation lasted for a continuous six-hour period.

The statement affirmed the Ministry’s rejection of such attacks on medical facilities, which are vital in providing essential healthcare services to the public. The ministry also called on law enforcement authorities to take immediate and strict actions against the perpetrators, emphasizing the importance of protecting healthcare facilities and the personnel who are the frontline defenders of public health.

In a related matter, Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nasruddin, contacted the Head of the Lebanese Pharmacists Syndicate, Joe Salloum, to condemn the attacks on three pharmacies. Minister Nasruddin stressed the importance of prosecuting the offenders and enforcing strict penalties to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. He underlined that the safety of healthcare facilities is a top priority, particularly as pharmacies, hospitals, and health centers continue to operate around the clock, providing essential services to citizens in all circumstances.

For his part, Joe Salloum, the President of the Lebanese Pharmacists Syndicate, called on the security forces and the Lebanese Army Intelligence to take strong measures to protect pharmacies and pharmacists following a series of armed robberies that targeted three pharmacies in different areas. The syndicate emphasized in its statement that the medical profession and healthcare services are noble human missions, and hospitals serve as medical sanctuaries for citizens, patients, and staff.

The syndicate also expressed its condemnation of the violent actions against the medical, nursing, and administrative staff at Riyaq Hospital and called on security and judicial authorities to pursue the attackers, whose identities are known, and bring them to justice with the severest penalties. Furthermore, it stressed the urgent need for the enactment of laws that strengthen the protection of doctors and ensure the safety of healthcare facilities from future attacks.
